Not only does Mad Science have a large list of at-home science experiments, they also have colouring pages and science quizzes available on their website! Print off the PDF experiment sheets and enjoy a day full of ghost bubbles, instant ice cream, and more.

Bees are an important part of nature, and thanks to Initiatives Nature, you can view this educational beekeeping booklet online! Learn all about bees and what it is that they do for our planet, and then finish off with a little quiz to showcase all that you have learned.

Time to get crafty with these edible crafts! Getting your little ones to eat healthy foods can sometimes be a challenge – try some of these edible crafts and get them playing, crafting, and eating all at the same time. Hop over to Facebook and Get Crafty with Lynn Lilly & Crayola every Tuesday for fun, simple crafts that can be done at-home! Check out Lynn Lilly’s Facebook page for endless videos of crafting fun. Crayola Canada also has a ton of crafting activities on their Facebook page including turtle suncatchers, witches cauldrons, and so much more!

The Canadian War Museum in Ottawa has a variety of free resources on their website that allow you to explore history all from the comfort of your own home. Check out their exhibits and collections all through virtual videos and lessons and learn about The War of 1812, Canada’s Naval History, and more. They even have a colouring page available for printing!

The Rooms Museum in Newfoundland and Labrador has some wonderful family activities and crafts on their website. Follow along and create your very own nature journal, treasure map, or time capsule!

Get ready for family game night with your very own DIY board game! Follow these instructions from PBS Kids and get creative – the possibilities are endless!

Break out the nail polish and face masks and have an at-home spa day with the family. You can make it as fancy as you want by making specialty lemonade with fresh fruits and finger sandwiches, infusing tea bags or essential oils in the foot soak, and playing relaxing music. Having things like toe separators, foam sandals, lotions, nail files, and rolled-up wash cloths are all super simple ways to make this spa day a refreshing one!
