Party Activities
Build A Boat
Sail the seven seas or even a puddle of water with your very own boat! Kids get to construct and then decorate a boat. After we’re done, we go for a test float to see if our boats will sail.
Recommended for children ages 4 to 9.
Crowning Around
Come on, get regal! Accessorize yourself with the finest of royal attire. Create crowns, bracelets or armlets for yourself and look like royalty.

Dino Hunt
The dinosaur bones have gone missing again! We need a team that is willing to travel the deepest and darkest depths of the museum in hopes of reconstructing our lost dinosaur!
Recommended for children ages 4 to 9.
Foam Friends
Create yourself a fun, new buddy! Give them a Styrofoam body and head, maybe some arms or legs? Lots of eyes, a few noses, whatever you want! Build until you can build no more!

Monkey Business
No, these monkeys don’t organize files nor do they do taxes. They have fun, monkey amounts of fun. Loaded with rubber monkeys, we’re ready to swing into action with games of a simian sort!

My Moo-stery
Janice the Cow has lost her spots! Now it’s up to a team of detectives to find them. Luckily, Janice left us some clues – decipher them to find her spots, return them, and make Janice a happy Holstein once again!

Potions In Motion
Prepare for an explosion of F-U-N! Make your own magic wands, concoct strange brews, stir up some weird and wacky mixtures, and prepare to be mystified by your own perplexing potions.

Slime Time
In all its glory and grossness, we present SCIENCE! First we test what we can do with a gelatinous fluid! Then we try our own hands-on experiment that will simultaneously impress and gross out friends and family alike, we make slime!

Treasure Hunt
Arrrrg – they’ve done it again! Pirates have stolen our treasure and buried it somewhere in the museum. We’ll need a group of adventurers with the courage to scavenge for clues to find our missing treasure.

If you need food for your event, our preferred caterer is Domino’s – and good news for you, they have a deal available for deliveries to the Children’s Museum!
Enjoy a large cheese plus 1 topping pizza for $10.99*. Orders should be placed with Domino’s directly at cmorders@dpz.ca.
Please allow advance notice of 1 week for orders with over 10 pizzas and 2 days for orders with less than 10 pizzas.

PAYMENTS & FEES
Cancellations
- All cancellations are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
Balances, Add-Ons, and/or Additional Charges
- Any outstanding balance and/or additional charges incurred will be due on the day of your party and payable at the Admissions Desk.
- Admission for 20 guests is included with each Birthday Party Package. Additional guests will be charged at $6 per person.
- Should the total number of children in attendance at your party exceed 25, a $50 fee will be applied for the provision of a second museum birthday party host to maintain the quality of your party (subject to availability).
GENERAL
- Birthday party rates and package inclusions are subject to change without notice.
- Requests for add-ons or package modifications should be made in advance with our Sales & Bookings Coordinator, and are subject to availability & additional fees.
- All food and/or beverages are to be consumed in the party room. Food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibits or galleries. As a courtesy to visitors with life-threatening allergies, please do not bring products containing nuts into the museum.
- The party client will assume responsibility for any damage to the museum property and agrees to fully compensate the museum for all costs associated with the repair or replacement of museum property.
- Helium balloons are not permitted in the museum. Any helium balloons that are brought into the museum will be checked at the Admissions Desk and returned as you leave the museum.
- The museum reserves the right to deny admission or exclude from the premises any individual(s) whose behaviours negatively impact the museum, its guests, volunteers, or staff.
- The party client is required to comply with all applicable government permits and regulations in respect to the usage of the premises.
- All party rooms have a maximum capacity based on legislated occupancy permits. If your guest count exceeds your party room’s capacity, access to the room may become monitored to ensure legal capacity is maintained. Contact our Sales & Bookings Coordinator to learn more.
ROOM ACCESS
- The Children’s Museum cannot guarantee extended party room access times.
- Access to your party room begins at the booked start time and the party room must be vacated at the booked end time.
- If you are interested in booking a party room for longer than your 2-hour access time (i.e., for your advance set-up needs or for guests to linger after your party), contact our Sales & Bookings Coordinator to learn more. Note: Additional room access time must be booked in advance, and is subject to availability & additional fees.
SUPERVISION
- For the safety and enjoyment of your guests and other museum visitors, the museum requires a minimum 1:5 adult to child ratio for party and gallery supervision. Failure to provide the required adult supervision on arrival may result in non-admission.
