- A Louis Riel story and collage craft in celebration of Louis Riel’s Metis heritage with guest programmers from the Louis Riel Institute at 11:00AM – 12:00PM and 1:00PM – 2:00PM
- An interactive dance performance with l‘Ensemble Folklorique de la Riviere Rouge from 12:00PM – 12:45PM
- French story times at 12:00PM and 2:00PM
- Sweet Canadian treats sponsored by the Original Pancake House from 12:00PM – 2:00PM (or while supplies last!)

Thursday, January 27 is National Kids & Vaccines Day! The COVID-19 vaccines approved in Canada are safe, effective, and save lives. Let’s move the needle (pun intended) and promote vaccine confidence to protect the largest unvaccinated cohort of people in Canada: KIDS!
Join ScienceUpFirst, Children’s Healthcare Canada, and the Sandbox Project with vaccine information programming for parents and kids on January 27. Parents and caregivers are invited to attend a virtual ScienceUpFirst Kids & Vaccines Town Hall at 8:00PM EST, and the ScienceUpFirst website has a wealth of resources to help kids walk into their vaccination appointments confidently.

Meraki Theatre Productions is putting on their first ever free Mental Health Arts Week For Youth, called Stronger Together, that combines mental health resources and strategies with daily arts programming. Stronger Together takes place October 3-9 and is offered in partnership with the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba.
The week’s programming includes days devoted to musical theatre, mindfulness, visual art, contemporary dance, songwriting, French theatre, and improv. Learn more and register.

New kids’ production Plé the Play from Manitoba-based co-creators Shannon Guile, Joanna Hawkins, Laura Lussier, and Andraea Sartison is available to stream now until June 16 via Vimeo.
Plé the Play explores the idea of how language makes us different and how it makes us the same. Performed in English, French and American Sign Language, the show is full of fun facts, comedy, music and spectacular visuals. You’ll also learn some signs along the way! The annual Freeze Frame International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages is on now until March 14! There’s lots to see and participate in, including online festival films with in-class activities, the youth video contest, and exciting online workshops available both before and after the festival.
Freeze Frame, the International Film Festival for Kids of All Ages, was created to provide young people in Manitoba access to quality films and videos from around the world. Freeze Frame selects films and videos that will entertain and challenge children and youth by exploring situations and issues not normally explored in mainstream media.
