Mini Nuit Blanche

Carpe noctem! Carry on the tradition of enjoying art at night during Mini Nuit Blanche at the Children’s Museum on Saturday, September 23 from 6:00PM – 8:30PM.

Spark your creative learning by enjoying FREE(*) admission to the museum galleries, including the final weekend of our summer exhibition, A-MAZE-D: The Puzzling World of Dave Phillips. Special guests from Black History Manitoba and Graffiti Art Programming will also be onsite to lead unique art activities. This is a chance to participate in creative activities both inside and outside of the museum and to celebrate this magical night with us!

I Love To Read Month 2023

We’re celebrating diversity this February at the Children’s Museum for I Love To Read Month!

Join us on weekends to enjoy story times, crafts, and activities focused on books that reflect upon what makes us special and unique. We’ll be sharing stories written by authors from BIPOC and LGBTQ2S+ communities, and we will explore topics that help us to understand diverse perspectives – all while celebrating our love of reading!

*BONUS!* Be sure to record what you’ve read as you help our friendly I Love To Read caterpillar grow around our Welcome Centre, and enter a draw for your chance to win an I Love To Read gift basket valued at $150!

All programs are only $4.00 per student.

Simply complete the online form below from February 1 – 28, 2023 for your chance to win a Children’s Museum prize package valued at $150 – which includes an Annual Individual Membership and other great prizes.

Come and learn some theatre skills from local Black talent this weekend! Black History Manitoba and the ANANSI School for the Performing Arts are hosting two drama workshops on Sunday, February 21, open to children and youth ages 4-16.

Two groups will happen: the 3:00 to 3:45pm time slot will be for children aged 4-8 years and will be led by Reena Jolly. The next group will be from 4:00 to 5:15pm and will be for youth 9-16 years. The second group will be taught by Ray Strachan. No theatre or acting experience is necessary. The workshop is sponsored by ANANSI School for the Performing Arts.
