Join Oak Hammock Marsh this Easter weekend for their Annual GPS Egg Hunt. Participate in a high-tech egg hunt through the marsh using a GPS to find hidden eggs. In this outdoor hunt, participants find letters in the marsh using GPS coordinates and try to decode the secret word to win a sweet treat! Learn more and register here.

Explore frozen Oak Hammock Marsh on snowshoe this winter and look for animal tracks in the snow or catch a glimpse of the elusive jackrabbits and snowy owls. A self-guided trail has been developed with multiple signs explaining what you are looking at in the Marsh.

Snowshoes come in adult and kid sizes. Rental period is one hour. Reserve your showshoes.

Fall programming for families at Oak Hammock Marsh includes a songbird banding demonstration on November 7 and astronomy night on November 19. With your Children’s Museum membership, you can get 10% off the price of annual membership at Oak Hammock Marsh.

New exhibition Inuk Style is now open at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Drawn from the collections of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and the Government of Nunavut’s Fine Art Collection, Inuk Style presents a dynamic range of clothing items spanning the Western to the Eastern regions of the Canadian Arctic. In celebration of the next generation of Inuit designers, this exhibition also presents a selection of fashionable accessories and jewelry handcrafted with delicate care and precision using sewing skills passed down through many generations. Children’s Museum members save $1 on one admission per visit to the WAG and get $5 off a WAG annual membership.

Indigenous Music presents Festival of Fathers on Sunday, June 21 at 3:00PM. Celebrate Father’s Day and National Indigenous Peoples Day with this special virtual concert by amazing local artists. Join the live event through the Indigenous Music Facebook page!

Grab your net and bucket and join Oak Hammock Marsh for their Outdoor Waterbug Derby on Sunday, June 21 at 11:00AM or 1:00PM! Prizes will be given out for the highest score and most unique bugs found. Pre-registration is required as each derby is limited to 30 participants.

Join the Winnipeg Art Gallery for WAG@Home DIY activities including air dry ornaments to thank all of the healthcare and frontline workers in your community. These ornaments can be hung in windows, around hospitals, or on trees. Break out your inner artist and decorate as many ornaments as you can!
