General admission to the Children’s Museum provides guests with unlimited, same-day access to our galleries, special programs, and temporary exhibitions*

  • The Children’s Museum reserves the right to restrict admitting children unaccompanied by adults as well as adults unaccompanied by children.
  • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while visiting.
  • For your safety, please follow our Visitor Code of Conduct and any safety alerts noted within the museum.
  • Helium balloons are not permitted in the museum. Any helium balloons that are brought into the museum will be checked at the Admissions Desk and returned as you leave the museum.
  • Hours and rates are subject to change without notice.
  • The museum reserves the right to deny admission or exclude from the premises any individual(s) whose behaviours negatively impact the museum, its guests, volunteers, or staff.

    The Children’s Museum is committed to providing a safe and fun environment to spark kids’ creative learning. We ask that guests adhere to our Visitor Code of Conduct and museum policies to ensure a positive and inclusive experience for all. 

      1. SUPERVISED PLAY

      • Children must be supervised by an adult at all times while visiting.
      • With the exception of Lasagna Lookout and Tot Spot, children are required to wear footwear in the museum’s galleries. Please ensure children have indoor footwear available to wear during inclement weather conditions.

      2. PLAY TOGETHER AND SHARE

      • Please take turns and share exhibit items and other supplied materials — there’s enough for everyone!
      • Assume good intentions — children reaching for the same object or heading in the same direction may result in innocent contact or collision between visitors.

        3. RESPECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS

        • Use kind words and respectful speech.
        • Using profane, threatening, or abusive language towards other guests, museum staff, and/or volunteers will not be tolerated.
        • Be a good role model. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
          • Smoking of any kind on museum property
          • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
          • Bringing weapons or weapon-like objects onto museum property
          • Performing indecent acts or lewd behaviors
          • Displaying offensive words or graphics on your person
          • Disorderly conduct or actions that may bring harm or danger to others
          • Defacing, damaging, or destroying museum exhibits or property
          • Failing to follow instructions from museum staff or volunteers
        • Don’t eat or drink in our galleries – instead, please use the Lunch Box area provided. Also, as a courtesy to visitors with life-threatening allergies, please do not bring products containing nuts into the museum.

          Complimentary general admission* is available to all Indigenous Peoples, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis by notifying an Admissions Attendant at time of purchase. (*regular rates apply on all other products and services)

          Children’s Museum Memberships are available for purchase in person at our Admissions Desk.

          Gift cards can be purchased in person or online for the value of a membership and can then be activated by the giftee in person at our Admissions Desk.

          • Individual Membership rates are applicable to anyone ages 1-101.
          • Membership cards must be presented to the Admissions Attendant upon each visit – otherwise general admission rates will apply. Photo identification may also be requested upon presentation of the membership card.
          • Refund Policy: All memberships are non-refundable.
          • Children’s Museum memberships are non-transferable. Only the individual whose name appears on the membership card is eligible for member benefits.
          • Memberships are for individual visits only and cannot be applied to school or other group visits, including birthday parties or museum rentals. (To learn more about group rates, please call 204.924.4005.)
          • All membership benefits are conditional offers and may be subject to change without notice.
          • Please notify the Children’s Museum in the event of a lost or stolen membership card. Arrangements will be made to issue you a replacement card. A replacement fee of $2.50 will apply.
          • Membership cards are available for pick-up in person only. The Children’s Museum does not mail membership cards.
