Our youngest visitors are VIPs on Mondays!

Mondays at the Children’s Museum are very special days. From September – April, join us on Mondays from 10:00AM – 2:00PM for a fun-filled day of stimulating play designed for our youngest visitors, children under 4 years old! We provide tailored crafts to help develop fine motor skills, activities that aid in dramatic play, and/or a special story time at 11:00AM and 1:00PM.

Please see our COVID-19 Guidelines for further details and important information prior to your next visit.

January Activities

Theme: Musical Minis

Mondays are about to get musical with our minis! We have special guests from the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts joining us for two Mini Mondays to do some music-inspired programming. We start off the month with making shakers and shaking our sillies out. The month continues with dancing to the beat of our own drums and creating our own. Next up, we will create noisemakers to liven up the Children’s Museum. The month ends with building banjos and strummin’ them to practice musicality.

February Activities

Theme: What’s Your Story?

February is I Love To Read Month and we are celebrating just that! Everyone has a story, what’s yours? Join us all month long as we read, craft, and explore different ways to tell your story. We start the month with creating a storyboard. Next, we will be creating books and filling the pages with pictures to tell the story all about you! We end the month with creating characters of all sorts.

  • February 6: Felt Storyboard Craft & Storyboard Station
  • February 13: Bookmaking & Filling The Pages
  • February 27: Mask Making & Costume Station

*Note: There will be no Mini Monday programming on February 20 due to the Louis Riel Day holiday. Please see our Franco-Fun Day programming instead!
