Non-Discrimination Policy

The Children’s Museum will not act contrary to the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Manitoba Human Rights Code which outlaws discrimination in employment and in the delivery of goods and services on the grounds of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, marital status, family status, pardoned conviction, disability, and sexual orientation.


Online Orders: General Admission Tickets

  • General admission tickets are valid for one-time use only and are non-refundable.
  • Need to reschedule? If you are unable to attend on your selected general admission ticket date, no need to reschedule. Tickets purchased online are valid for one-time use within 90 days of your purchase date. Simply present your tickets to an Admissions Attendant in person to redeem.
  • General admission is valid all day on your selected ticket date. Please keep your tickets and/or receipt handy if you plan to leave and return during your visit, as our Admissions Team will request proof of payment prior to re-entry.
  • The Children’s Museum reserves the right to restrict admitting children unaccompanied by adults as well as adults unaccompanied by children.
  • The Children’s Museum reserves the right to deny admission or exclude from the premises any individual(s) whose behaviours negatively impact the museum, its guests, volunteers, or staff.
  • Hours and rates are subject to change without notice.
  • Complimentary general admission* is available to all Indigenous Peoples, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis by notifying an Admissions Attendant in person at the time of admission. (*Regular rates apply on all other products and services)
  • Children are required to wear appropriate footwear in the museum’s galleries. Please ensure children have indoor footwear available to wear for comfort during inclement weather conditions.
  • Helium balloons are not permitted in the museum. Any helium balloons that are brought into the museum will be checked at the Admissions Desk and returned as you leave the museum.
  • As a courtesy to visitors with life-threatening allergies, please do not bring products containing nuts into the museum.
  • Services are available in English and French. Ask about the availability of services in other languages.
  • For your safety, please follow any safety alerts noted within the museum.

Online Orders: Gift Cards

  • Gift cards are valid for use in person/onsite at the Children’s Museum only. (They are not valid for online purchases via this website.)
  • Gift cards can be applied toward any purchase made at the Manitoba Children’s Museum.
  • Values of gift cards for General Admission and Annual Membership are issued for current rates at the time the gift card was purchased. Rates are subject to change without notice. Any balance due between the issued value and current rates at the time of redemption are the redeemer’s responsibility to pay.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable.
  • Gift cards are not redeemable for cash.
  • Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • All purchases made via gift cards are subject to Manitoba Children’s Museum return policies.

Gift Cards for General Admission

In addition to the Gift Card Terms & Conditions listed above:

  • General Admission gift cards are issued for the value of one General Admission at the time the gift card is purchased (Current value: $12.25 + GST). This value can be applied toward any purchase made at the Manitoba Children’s Museum. Should a purchase, other than a General Admission, be made at the Manitoba Children’s Museum, any remaining balance may still be applied towards a General Admission.
  • Values of gift cards for General Admission and Annual Membership are issued for current rates at the time the gift card was purchased. Rates are subject to change without notice. Any balance due between the issued value and current rates at the time of redemption are the redeemer’s responsibility to pay.

Gift Cards for Individual Annual Membership

In addition to the Gift Card Terms & Conditions listed above:

  • Individual Annual Membership gift cards are issued for the value of one Individual Annual Membership at the time the gift card is purchased (Current value: $51.00 + GST). This value can be applied toward any purchase made at the Manitoba Children’s Museum. Should a purchase be made at the Manitoba Children’s Museum, other than for an annual membership, any remaining balance may still be applied towards an annual membership.
  • Values of gift cards for General Admission and Annual Membership are issued for current rates at the time the gift card was purchased. Rates are subject to change without notice. Any balance due between the issued value and current rates at the time of redemption are the redeemer’s responsibility to pay.

In all our spaces, from the bricks-and-mortar of the museum building itself to our online communities, our commitment is to be a fun and safe place for families to play, laugh, learn, and grow.

We reserve the right to remove any posts we believe are: abusive, defamatory, or obscene; fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading; in violation of another’s intellectual property; in violation of any law or regulation; excessive or spam; not family-friendly or otherwise offensive in any way, including image, tone, or context.

The views and opinions expressed by visitors to our social media pages are solely those of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of the Children’s Museum.

To ensure a positive experience for our community, we may report or remove content or commentary containing spam, profanity, or otherwise objectionable or prohibited material subject to individual social media sites’ Terms of Use.
