To coincide with our 2017 travelling exhibition Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™, the Children’s Museum presents a series of curriculum-linked school programs individually tailored for grade levels N-5.


Program Details

Moving & Grooving – Preschool & Kindergarten
How many different ways can you move? Let’s explore and experiment with silly poses as we talk about how we can get active. Create and showcase your own signature poses as we team up to make our very own collaborative dance!
Supports Physical/Health Education and Arts Education learning outcomes

Treasure Trackers – Grades 1 & 2
X marks the spot! Get moving and use your map reading skills as you uncover hidden treasures in our museum galleries. Later, you become the map maker as you use your imagination and memory to create your very own treasure map!
Supports Social Studies and Physical/Health Education learning outcomes

Operation: Teamwork! – Grades 3 & 4
What makes a great team? Let’s work together and find out! Today you will put your teamwork to the test as you try to overcome wacky challenges, and complete a group construction project. Get ready, you might be caught working in some silly situations!
Supports Physical/Health Education and Arts Education learning outcomes

All Systems Go! – Grade 5
Can you name the different systems in the human body? Do you know how they work together to help us stay healthy and strong? Put your creativity to the test as we explore the different systems in our bodies and what they help us do!
Supports Science and Physical/Health Education learning outcomes

All programs are only $4.75 per student.

Additional Information:

  • School Programs are available for groups of ten or more children.
  • Only School Programs booked in advance qualify for discounted group rate.
  • For preschool and kindergarten groups, the museum requires one adult supervisor for every five children.
  • For Grades 1-5, the museum requires one adult supervisor for every seven children in the group.
  • All supervising adults are admitted free of charge.
  • Payment must be made upon arrival at the Children’s Museum.
  • Programs are subject to change without notice.

Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ inspires physical activity. This heart-pumping exhibition invites guests to explore action-adventure scenes where they can jump into Action Star Training. Adventure Scenes include Surf & Snow Boarding (balance), Kung Fu Forest (coordination), Climbing Canyon (strength), and Flycycle Sky (endurance). An Action Star Training Centre with Yoga Station, Strength Centre, and Dance Club are also part of the experience. Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ stimulates the body and mind while simultaneously boosting physical development, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and activating cognitive development.

Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures In Action™ was developed by the Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative.
