THE EATON’S FAIRYTALE VIGNETTES: A WINNIPEG HOLIDAY TRADITION

Date: Friday, November 1, 2019
Time: 2:00PM – 4:00PM
Location: McNally Robinson Booksellers, 1120 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3M 2A6
Price: $30.00 per person

Since Eaton’s closed its doors in 1999, the Children’s Museum has been the proud home of the Eaton’s Fairytale Vignettes. These 15 animatronic fairytale stories were part of the Santa’s Village on the 9th floor of the Eaton’s downtown Winnipeg store for almost 40 years. In this class, we will talk about Eaton’s impact on Winnipeg, the creation and maintenance of the vignettes, and the background of the featured stories.
