Children’s Special Day
November 20
The Children’s Museum exists to spark kids’ creative learning. We believe in the potential of all children and provide an interactive learning environment that nurtures the power of imagination and spirit of self-discovery.
In celebration of World Children’s Day, kids get half-price general admission all day long on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. We’ll also have a special craft from 11:00AM – 3:00PM. Get ready to create your own cup and ball game! It’s a game of skill and a test of your creativity all rolled into one! Once you’ve finished decorating, the challenge begins – can you catch the ball in the cup?
About World Children’s Day
World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve children’s welfare.
November 20 is an important date, as it was the date in 1959 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child. It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
