THURSDAY LITERACY RESOURCES
(Source: playwilmington.org)
We are very fortunate to be a part of such strong Children’s Museum community. Over the past few months many Children’s Museums have continued to ensure that kids are getting the creative education they need. This week’s literacy resources are courtesy of Children’s Museums across North America.
The Three Little Pigs has been a family favourite for generations, and thanks to Wonderscope Children’s Museum of Kansas City, you can enjoy a puppet storytime of this timeless tale.
Time to practice your writing (and drawing!) skills with this fun activity that is sure to put a smile on someone’s face! The Explore & More Children’s Museum has a variety of activities on their website including Nursing Home Mail. Make your own cards, fill them with positive comments and happy doodles. Once you’re done, address the cards to a local nursing home and spread the kindness!
Use these ABC Exercise Cards from The Children’s Museum of Wilmington to get your little ones moving and practicing their alphabet. Have them do the exercises that spell out their name, or go through the entire alphabet!
Stay tuned for more resources to help spark kids’ creative learning!
