It’s never too early to start introducing your child to the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math)!
WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Kid-Netic Energy is an outreach program based out of the University of Manitoba dedicated to increasing youth participation in STEM fields. Their website is a wonderful resource for activity books that can be printed off and used for at-home lessons. All activity books are available for kindergarten to grade 8 and provide a variety of educational puzzles, activities, games, and more!
Now’s your chance to find out how animals stay warm in the winter or why leaves chance colour in the fall. Let’s Talk Science has an ever-growing list of hands-on activities and experiments available on their website that cover many science mysteries.
Owlkids Books is a wonderful resource for math-based learning. Check out their Math In Nature Collage activity and It’s About Time activity booklets that are available for download and print.
Stay tuned for more resources to help spark kids’ creative learning!
