FEATURE FRIDAY: SMITHSONIAN FOR KIDS

 (Source: si.edu)

The Smithsonian has all sorts of educational resources and activities for children and young adults available on their website!

Virtually head over to the Smithsonian Zoo and meet their animals. Learn more about your favourite animals like tigers and ring-tailed lemurs, or meet some animals you’ve never heard of before like the African pancake tortoise or the lessur kudu!

Check out the Smithsonian Learning Lab for a variety of different educational resources. Find materials and collections based on different topics like language arts and social studies or create your own collection based on your learning needs.

If you’re looking for some fun stuff, head over to the activities and games section. Immerse yourself in hours of conservation comics, weather labs, light painting tutorials, and more!

Stay tuned for more resources to help spark kids’ creative learning!
