ALL ABOARD: WE’RE GATHERING STEAM!

Do you have a little one that is obsessed with dinosaurs? Check out this dinosaur shadow puppet activity courtesy of National History Museums of Los Angeles County. This activity will show you how to make your very own shadow puppet and then put on a show afterwards! They even have dinosaur templates that you can print off and use for your puppets. What other kinds of creatures and animals can you make shadow puppets for?

Science North in Thunder Bay, Ontario has been posting ongoing videos to their Facebook page where they share at-home science experiments, fun animal facts, and more. Be sure to check them out and join in on the hands-on science experiments and activities!

Join our fellow Children’s Museum, Kidzu, for at-home STEAM’D Up activities that are focused around science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, and design! Some of our favourite activities are colour changing chameleons, baking soda snowman, and birdseed cookies – but there are so many wonderful activities to choose from!

Stay tuned for more resources to help spark kids’ creative learning!
