February is I Love to Read Month and the Manitoba Children’s Museum is planning a fun filled month to get everyone excited about reading.

Support the work of the Manitoba Children’s Museum when you visit any Sobeys location in Winnipeg during the month of February 2010!
You will have the opportunity to make a contribution at any Sobeys location that will go directly to the Manitoba Children’s Museum.
All proceeds will help fund the Free to Play Access Program of the Manitoba Children’s Museum which brings inner city children to the museum for free school visits, free after school clubs, free day camps, and free holiday parties.

Your students have spent the last 99 days working extremely hard and they deserve to celebrate this great accomplishment of making it to day number 100. Come and join us at the Manitoba Children’s Museum on February 10th, 2010 as we celebrate the 100th Day of School!
Treat your class to a fun filled day of learning outside of the classroom in the museum’s innovative and educational galleries. It will be a day of adventures and activities that students will put at the top of their 100 things to do in the first 100 days of school list!

Looking for a unique opportunity to develop skills in leadership, program delivery and communication? Eager to share your own abilities? Consider the Volunteer Program at the Manitoba Children’s Museum!
Anyone interested in becoming an MCM volunteer needs to complete a straightforward application process. The first step is to attend an information session.
(Please note: Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 years old, your guardian must attend the information session as well.)
The next volunteer information sessions are scheduled for:
- Friday, July 9 at 10:00AM
- Saturday, July 10 at 1:00PM
- Friday, July 16 at 10:00AM
- Saturday, July 31 at 1:00PM

Mondays at the Manitoba Children’s Museum are very special days!
Every Monday from 10:00AM to 2:00PM, we tailor crafts and activities to suit the needs of our youngest visitors.
We will be offering special guided crafts at the Project du Jour table and storytimes at 11:30AM and 1:30PM in the TV Studio.
School visits scheduled during Mini Monday programming are limited to Nursery and Kindergarten levels in order to offer our smallest visitors the opportunity to explore the museum at their own pace and with others their own size.
